Celebrating Georgia’s Hardest-Working Farm Dogs

Tuesday, March 18th, 2025

Calling all Farm Dogs! The 2025 Georgia Farm Dog Contest is now open, highlighting the essential roles farm dogs play in herding, guarding livestock, and providing companionship. Whitney Mooney, Georgia Farm Bureau’s Associate Director of Info/PR, describes how you can learn more and enter your favorite farm dog. Last year’s winner, Belue, a Shetland Sheepdog from Sumter County, was selected from over 150 entries and recognized at the Sunbelt Ag Expo.

Farm families are encouraged to enter their hardworking dogs by May 1st at gfb.ag/EnterFarmDogContest.
