The University of West Georgia Foundation has proudly announced five new members of its board of trustees, as well as a new chair.

Joining the board as trustees are Carol Crews ’91, Brian Dill, Dr. Allison Key ’02, Jeff Phillips ’86 and Zach Rogers ’99 ’07, with Josh Chapman, principal at RaLin Construction and the Linco Companies, appointed to serve as the board’s chair for a two-year term.

The UWG Foundation is governed by a board of trustees composed of business and industry leaders, community leaders and alumni whose primary goals are in service to the university community. Trustees are selected for three-year terms and support fundraising efforts to advance student scholarships and the educational offerings of the institution.

“We’re excited to welcome Carol, Brian, Allison, Jeff and Zach to the UWG Foundation Board of Trustees, and to have Josh step into the role of chair,” said Allyson Bretch ’14, CEO of UWG’s philanthropic foundations and vice president for university advancement. “Their passion for UWG and commitment to its continued growth will strengthen our efforts to create meaningful opportunities for students and the broader university community.”

Chapman, the newly appointed board chair, brings decades of leadership experience to the role and is eager to steward the board’s processes for future growth.

“The legacy of my parents, both UWG alumni, instilled a deep connection to this university from birth, making Carrollton a natural home,” said Chapman. “It’s incredibly rewarding to give back to an institution that’s been so formative for me, and I’m honored to help guide the board’s work in a way that builds on the strong foundation already in place.”
