John F. Kennedy Named Senator of the Year by Georgia Chamber
Tuesday, June 10th, 2025
Today, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce announced that Senator John F. Kennedy (R-Macon) earned the 2025 Georgia Chamber Senator of the Year award. Senator Kennedy serves as Senate President Pro Tempore, the Senate’s highest-ranking position, and was the legislative sponsor of both SB 68 and SB 69, the tort reform legislative package that is now law. Securing tort reform legislation has been the top legislative priority of the Georgia Chamber for 20 years.
Georgia State Senate President Pro Tempore John F. Kennedy (R-Macon) and the 2025 Georgia Chamber Senator of the Year said:
“As a lifelong Chamber Member, I am humbled to receive the Georgia Chamber Legislator of the Year Award. I have been in the fight to deliver common sense policy priorities for Georgia’s business community and balance our civil litigation system for almost a decade. With the help of the Chamber, we took a meaningful step in the right direction in 2025, and I will always be grateful for their support.”
Nancy Palmer, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs at the Georgia Chamber of Commerce said:
“The Georgia General Assembly passed a strong slate of pro-business legislation during the 2025 Legislative Session. These bills are critical to ensure Georgia remains the number one state in the country to do business, and Senator John F. Kennedy was instrumental to their passage. Senator Kennedy’s Senator of the Year award was well earned, and we look forward to continuing our strong partnership.”
