Tuesday, May 27th, 2025
Southwire has once again been recognized as a US Best Managed Company, marking its sixth consecutive year receiving the honor. The program, sponsored by Deloitte Private and The Wall Street Journal, highlights outstanding U.S. private companies.
The 2025 designees are U.S. private companies that have demonstrated excellence in strategic planning and execution, a commitment to their people, and strong financial performance and governance. These companies were noted for their ability to drive business forward while prioritizing their employees and customers. Advanced technology, including AI, played a significant role for most of these companies in creating efficiencies and enhancing the quality of their products and experiences.
Rich Stinson, Southwire's president and CEO, commented on the achievement, "2025 marks a milestone for Southwire – our 75th anniversary. As we continue our focus to be an extraordinary place to work, this recognition is a testament to those efforts. Earning this distinction for the sixth year in a row is a reflection of our exceptional team members whose commitment and effort drive our success." Stinson emphasized the exciting time to be in the electrical industry and at Southwire, stating, "Our goal is to remain generationally sustainable for the next 100 years and beyond, and I'm proud that we are taking meaningful steps to ensure we continue meeting the needs of our customers and communities.”
Applicants for the US Best Managed Company program are evaluated and selected by an external panel of judges. The assessment focuses on four key areas: strategy, ability to execute, corporate culture, and governance/financial performance. Honorees join a global network of recognized companies from over 44 countries within the Best Managed Companies program.
Guyton Cochran, Southwire’s executive vice president and CFO, also expressed gratitude for the award. "This kind of recognition is the result of a collective effort. It’s something the entire organization can take pride in, and we’re deeply grateful for the dedication and hard work our team members bring every day to help make accomplishments like this possible."
