AT&T, Human I-T Provide 50 Laptops to Jasper County Family Connection

AT&T and Human I-T provided Jasper County Family Connection with 50 refurbished laptops to distribute to Jasper County students and families.
The computers, funded by an AT&T contribution, were given to Jasper County youth and families to help close the digital divide.
“In today’s digital age, access to technology is essential for educational success, personal growth, and economic opportunity. AT&T’s partnership with Jasper County Family Connection to provide laptops for our youth and families is a significant step toward empowering our community, and for expanding the digital access,” said Commissioner Sheila Pounds, Jasper County Board of Commissioners. “These laptops will enable our students to excel in their studies, access online learning opportunities, and develop the digital skills needed for future success. We are truly grateful for AT&T’s continued investment in Jasper County and its dedication to fostering growth and opportunity for all.”
“AT&T’s donation of laptops to Jasper County Family Connection highlights the power of collaboration in addressing the digital divide and creating meaningful opportunities for our youth and families. These laptops will provide our students with the means to enhance their education, stay connected, and prepare for future career opportunities,” said Mayor DeAshley Thurman, City of Monticello. “With AT&T’s support, we are not only closing the digital divide but also paving the way for equity of opportunity for our residents.”

Garland, Jasper County Charter System. “By equipping our students with laptops, we are opening the door to new possibilities in the classroom and beyond.”
This effort is part of the AT&T Connected Learning® initiative to help address the digital divide through internet accessibility, affordability and safe adoption. AT&T is committing $5 billion to help 25 million people get and stay connected to high-speed internet by 2030.
