Christian City Welcomes Three New Trustees

Christian City, a one-of-a-kind, not-for-profit organization, serving vulnerable children, youth, and seniors, is pleased to announce the addition of three distinguished trustees to its board. Each brings a wealth of experience and dedication to furthering the organization’s mission of bringing hope and healing to those in crisis.
"We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Betsy Box, Lisa Masters, and Leslie Wade to our board of trustees and are excited by their exceptional level of expertise, passion, and commitment to our mission of serving vulnerable children, youth, and seniors,” said CEO Keith Horton. “Their leadership will be invaluable as we continue to grow and enhance our programs, ensuring that Christian City remains a place of hope and community for all who need it."
Dr. Betsy Box

Dr. Betsy Box founded The Bedford School in 1985, fulfilling her passion for helping students with dyslexia. She began her career under Dr. Charles Shedd at the Reading Research Foundation in Berea, Kentucky. She later pioneered a program for students with learning disabilities at Woodward Academy in College Park, Georgia. She is a member of the International Dyslexia Association, Learning Disabilities Association of America, Delta Kappa Gamma Society, and Georgia Accrediting Commission.
Lisa Masters

Lisa Masters brings a distinguished career from Bank of America, where she held senior executive roles in leadership development, organizational development, change management, communications, and finance, managing a $150 million annual operating budget in New York City. She serves on the boards of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Southern Crescent Chorale, and Pi Beta Phi.
Leslie Wade

- B.A. and J.D., University of Georgia
Leslie Wade has over three decades of legal experience. A former board member of Bloom and Promise Place, she currently serves on the board of Southern Crescent Chorale. Leslie is an active community volunteer and a member of the American Bar Association.
Christian City is also pleased to announce that Dr. Ed Richardson has been elected board chair. Dr. Richardson is an honor graduate of Duke University and the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry.
