Christian City is excited to announce the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of 20 new homes for seniors in its Hilltop Acres neighborhood. The event on Wednesday, July 31 at 10 a.m. will also mark the opening of the new Fellowship Bridge, which spans the wetlands between Hilltop Acres and the Dogwood Circle neighborhood.

The need for affordable retirement homes is a pressing issue both nationally and in the Atlanta area. As the population ages, there is a growing need for affordable retirement homes, and Christian City is proud to do its part in a serene corner of Union City, GA.

“With the senior population expected to grow substantially in the coming decades, it is essential to develop affordable housing options and supportive communities. Christian City, and communities like it, play a vital role in providing seniors with the housing and services they need to live comfortably and securely in their retirement years,” said Keith Horton, President and CEO of Christian City, Inc.

Located conveniently on 500 wooded acres 15 minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Christian City’s life-lease patio homes offer affordable, neighborly, and carefree living for active seniors aged 65 and above. With four neighborhoods featuring one- and two-bedroom floor plans, residents enjoy living spaces designed for comfort and convenience. Amenities include an indoor pool, walking paths, pet parks, community garden and a plethora of planned activities, events and classes tailored to enrich our residents’ lives.

The patio homes are leased for life, meaning residents pay a one-time amount to lease a home for the remainder of their lives. This innovative model ensures financial stability and peace of mind for our residents. Currently, homes lease for anywhere between $60,000 and $127,000 depending upon size and neighborhood. Maintenance and upkeep are provided.

Join us in celebrating this significant milestone and the new opportunities it brings for our senior residents. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will feature remarks from community leaders, refreshments, and a walk – or golf cart ride - across Fellowship Bridge.
