Monday, July 10th, 2023
The Community Foundation of West Georgia (CFWG) has received a $25,000 contribution from Honda for the organization’s new project, The Connector. The Connector will provide a central platform to connect neighbors in need to resources in West Georgia. It will also connect nonprofit organizations and streamline processes for their staff and volunteers.
“This program has the potential to enable a radical shift in how our social services ecosystem works throughout our tricounty area.” said Kim Jones, president of CFWG. “The Connector will provide a better customer service experience for those seeking assistance, will reduce intake redundancies for non-profit employees and create a strategic, coordinated response network that will utilize our community resources in the most efficient way.”
With the help of Honda and other partners, The Connector will be able to positively impact the lives of those who need immediate assistance, as well as those who are looking for the next step towards independently sustaining themselves.
“It has been exciting to work on a project that has the potential to do so much good for our area,” said Jones. “This grant from Honda will help us continue to build this platform and bring the project to fruition.”
