Botanical Sciences, Georgia’s first physician-owned medical cannabis provider, announced the official opening of its state licensed, Class 1 - 100,000 sq. ft. facility in Glenville, Georgia. The full-scale production operation will power the company’s mission to provide hope and relief to Georgians in need through the healing science of cannabis medicine.

“The opening of our facility was a key milestone for our company, for the city of Glennville, and for the many thousands of those in need awaiting access to this critical form of medicine, said Gary Long, CEO of Botanical Sciences. “We have already begun the production process, which starts with the seeding of cannabis plants in our indoor growing facility producing a variety of tinctures, capsules, and topicals formulated to address the needs of Georgia patients.”

At a recent dedication ceremony, over 100 people including members of the community, political officials, university partners, physicians, registered Georgians and business leaders, gathered to show their support, tour the operation, and learn about the impact Botanical Sciences will have on the lives of patients.

Speakers included Dr. Robin Fowler, founder of Botanical Sciences; Gary Long, CEO of Botanical Sciences; Chase Bradshaw, COO of Botanical Sciences; Sidney Johnson III, Chairman of Georgia Access to Medical Cannabis Commission; Bill Werkheiser, State Representative of District 157; and Montel Williams, TV personality, M.S. warrior, and advocate for legalized access to cannabis medicine. In honor of Williams’s advocacy, Dr. Fowler presented him with a $5,000 check to the M.S. Society – Georgia Chapter, as part of the dedication ceremony.

“Botanical Sciences is focusing on making the cleanest and purest medication that can be formulated along with educating the public, so they can understand the true benefits of medical cannabis,” said Montel Williams. “Patients will soon finally have access to a plant-based, all- natural medication that will provide hope and relief.”
