Colony Bank today announced that Daniel Rentz has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer.

Rentz previously served as IT Director and has been part of the Colony Bank team for 15 years. His past positions at Colony include Application Services Manager, Mainframe Manager, and Mainframe Operator. 

Commenting on the announcement Kimberly C. Dockery, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff, said, “Daniel has been a valuable member of our team since 2007 and is most deserving of this promotion. His service-oriented approach paired with his deep industry knowledge will enable us to further advance and leverage our technology as we continue to grow and elevate our customer experience.”

Rentz has an Education and Sociology degree from South Georgia College. He has been married to his wife, Mendy, for 16 years. Together, they have two children, Lincoln and Aubrey, and reside in Douglas, Georgia. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family, playing music, and traveling. He also enjoys his hobbies of woodworking and luthiering.
