Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022
Representatives from the Georgia Department of Transportation took part in the July 26, 2022, Cities Connect meeting to announce the details of the 2nd Round of the Transportation Alternatives (TA) grant. This call for projects is targeted specifically for cities with populations of 5,000 or less, and funds may be used for non-traditional transportation-related activities, such as pedestrian and bicycle facilities, as well as pedestrian streetscaping projects.
Additional details about the grant can be found here. Eligible projects are those for which funds may be obligated by September 30, 2022. A 20% local match is required. Cities interested in using ARPA SLFRF to cover your local match may do so. Please contact GMA's Becky Taylor at 404-402-6110 with additonal questions, or email her here.
