PSC's Tricia Pridemore to Serve on Board of National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners

On June 14, 2022, Georgia Public Service Commission Chairman Tricia Pridemore was unanimously elected by the member states of the Southeastern Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (SEARUC) to serve on the board of directors of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC).
In November 2022, she will become 2nd Vice President of NARUC. In November 2023, she will advance to 1st Vice President and in November 2024 she will begin a one-year term as NARUC President.
“Representing Georgia and the Southeastern United States as President of NARUC will be an honor,” Pridemore said. “I will represent Public Service Commissions across the nation through hard work, a listening ear and with a heart to serve. I am grateful and humble for the confidence the Southeastern region has placed in me.”
This will mark the first time a Georgia Commissioner has led NARUC in 19 years.
Founded in 1889, the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners is a non-profit organization dedicated to representing the state public service commissions who regulate the utilities that provide essential services such as energy, telecommunications, power, water, and transportation. Commissioner Pridemore was appointed to the Georgia Public Service Commission in 2018 and elected statewide later that year.
