The Georgia Chamber, in partnership with Next Generation Manufacturing, will spotlight small, large and minority manufacturing operations in Georgia at the Future of Manufacturing two-part event on June 23 and 24, 2020. The event will be held online and begins promptly at 11:00 AM EST on each of the two days featuring these one-hour virtual segments.
 
“Our goal with the Future Of series is to bring awareness and education to businesses and communities on the top trends impacting Georgia’s economy,” shared Georgia Chamber President and CEO Chris Clark. “The manufacturing industry is a driving force to numerous others in Georgia with a total annual impact of nearly $65-billion; employing roughly 10% of the state’s workforce, this industry is critical to getting Georgians back to work and, our economy, more readily recovered.”
 
Guest speakers for June 23 and the large manufacturing segment include Stuart Countess, COO of KIA Motors Manufacturing Georgia; Gunnar Kleveland, President & CEO for Textron Specialized Vehicles; and Debanjan Dutt, Principal at Deloitte. June 24^thpanelists for minority manufacturing will feature Sara Irvani, CEO of Okabashi Brands; Dee Barnes, CEO of Evans Tool and Dye Metal Stamping; and Regina Maddox, Executive Director for Next Generation Manufacturing. Chris Clark, President and CEO of the Georgia Chamber, will host this exclusive event highlighting the importance of Georgia’s manufacturing industry to post-COVID economic recovery.
