POWERADE Powers Up Sports Program at Whitewater High School

A grant from the sports drink POWERADE of the Coca-Cola Company will help improve sports programs at Whitewater High School.

For the second consecutive year, Mike Vena, the school’s athletic director, submitted a winning presentation and was awarded a $2,000 grant that will help the general athletic program at Whitewater High.

POWERADE invited sports representatives to submit videos and essays demonstrating their schools’ needs. Winning schools received monetary prizes ranging from $10,000 to $2,000. Contest entries were judged based on school need, creativity, and quality of submission.
