I-85/Poplar Road Interchange Project Completion Date Postponed

Due to the region's recent prolonged cold, wet weather, the completion of the project to install an interchange on Interstate 85 at Poplar Road in Coweta County has been postponed to mid-April, 2019.
Construction crews had anticipated the work being done by mid-March, however workers have been unable to do the asphalt work as scheduled with the unpredictable weather patterns.
The delay in paving has in turn pushed back the accomplishment of other final tasks, including traffic signal installation, striping, and signage installation.
