After an intensive nomination, application, and voting process, Whitewater High’s healthcare science instructor Julie Wolf has been appointed to Georgia’s Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Executive Board.
HOSA is a national career and technical student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education (HSE) Division of the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE).
As a member of the board, Wolf’s duties include serving over 15,000 HOSA students and advisors as well as making decisions regarding all aspects of HOSA.
Although this is her first year serving on the executive board, Wolf has been a part of HOSA for the past 18 years where she has actively served as HOSA’s Region 2 advisor and a member of the Competitive Events Board.
With 18 years as a healthcare science instructor, Wolf says “This has been a humbling experience and an honor to work with others of such high quality. I take this position very seriously and feel it is a privilege to serve HOSA students and advisors.”
HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for secondary, postsecondary, adult, and collegiate students enrolled in health science education and biomedical science programs, or have interests in pursuing careers in health professions.
