The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded an intersection improvement contract to install 2 mini-roundabouts on US 29/SR 14 at the intersections of Hal Jones Road and Greentop Road. The mini roundabouts are being installed to address safety concerns and improve traffic flow due to the high volume of motorists traveling through these intersections. Message boards were put in place to alert motorists to the upcoming change at these locations.

The intersection will be converted to a mini-roundabout with a central island that is intended to be fully mountable by tractor trailers. Work will be conducted daily beginning tomorrow, Friday, April 27. The work is estimated to be complete within 60 days.

All work is dependent on weather conditions.
