Casey Cagle, the leading conservative Republican for governor, announced today that his campaign raised $2.7 million in donations in its first two months – the most ever in a Georgia governor’s race for this disclosure period. Cagle earned support from over 1,200 donors.

“I want to thank the thousands of supporters who have chosen to support my bold vision for the state we all love,” said Cagle. “Our message of visionary conservative leadership is resonating with people in every community. The level of financial support we have received is immensely humbling and encouraging.”

Cagle drew support from a diverse group of key Georgians – prominent conservatives, business leaders and notable community voices. These conservative supporters, along with the over 150 conservative elected officials that have already endorsed Cagle, give the campaign momentum that outpaces every other candidate in the race.

Cagle, even amidst the fundraising success, has worked tirelessly for every Georgian. Today, Cagle is in Tifton with his Healthcare Reform Task Force to devise solutions that will strengthen Georgia’s rural healthcare network.

Cagle has pledged to cut taxes by $100 million in his first 100 days, deliver a comprehensive 10-year infrastructure plan, and create 500,000 new jobs in the first four years of his administration. He has also made workforce development a top priority, and will continue to lead on developing a world-class education system in Georgia.
