Rotary Clubs on the south side of metro Atlanta have joined together to raise funds to care for abused and abandoned children who now live safely at The Children’s Village at Christian City. The Rotary Car Raffle was officially launched on September 14 at a kickoff event held at Infiniti of South Atlanta. The raffle drawing will take place at the annual Chair-ity Event on Thurs., Dec. 1, at The Crowne Plaza in Peachtree City.
 
David Watts, General Manager of Infiniti of South Atlanta, welcomed attendees saying, “We are glad to do our part by making this new Infiniti Q50 available to raise funds for children in need. The Children’s Village at Christian City is a real game changer. They are helping to break the cycle of generational poverty for the children in their care, and we are honored to support their efforts.”
 
For a chance to win a new Infiniti Q50, purchase raffle tickets online at www.rotarycares4kids.org. Tickets are $25 each or five for $100. In addition to the raffle, Infiniti of South Atlanta will make a donation to The Children’s Village at Christian City for every car sold in September through November.
 
Union City Mayor, Vince Williams, greeted the crowd saying, “I look forward to this event every year. We are glad to help promote raffle ticket sales for the benefit of The Children’s Village at Christian City. The Infiniti Q50 will be on display and raffle tickets will be sold at the Union City Music & Arts Festival on October 22.”
 
Philip Kouns, COO of The Children’s Village, expressed his gratitude to the community partners in attendance. “Fundraising programs like the Chair-ity event and this car raffle help sustain The Children’s Village at Christian City. Without faithful support from the community, we could not keep our doors open. Fundraising events like this allow us to minister to the needs of abused and abandoned children who come to us for care.” Kouns said.
