July 4th Celebrated with Parade, Fireworks

Cowetans celebrated America’s 240th birthday with a parade in the morning and fireworks at dark.
The weather was hot, but the lack of precipitation meant plans for the weekend’s activities could proceed as planned. Rain has forced the delay of the fireworks exhibition several times in recent years, and the Newnan Rotary Club, sponsors of the event, had already scheduled a rain date.
