Atlanta based Crezent Managed Marketing was recently chosen as a top 10 finalist for the 2016 Small Business of the Year Award sponsored by the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce. The award recognizes small businesses that have a history of outstanding business practices in the community and to honor the entrepreneurship, sustainability, productivity and effort put forth in a small business.

To select finalists, the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce asked chamber members to participate in a nomination and written application process. A team of local business leaders will conduct interviews with each finalist and an independent group of judges will grade award applicants in three different categories based on the size of the business. Small Business of the Year Winners will be recognized at the Small Business Awards Celebration on August 25 from 4-7pm at the Newnan Centre.

“We are honored and thankful for this nomination, which is largely due to our employees and their efforts. We would not be the company we are without their hard work, creativity, and talent,” said Chris Doane, Crezent Managed Marketing Owner. “A successful business also needs the support of the communities around them and we are thankful for the opportunities and growth, here in Newnan. As a business, we’ve made a concerted effort over the past year to not only to serve our clients better, but to also better serve our community and fellow chamber members.”

Crezent’s community efforts include the companies’ involvement in a number of local and non-profit projects. These include volunteer efforts at Chattahoochee Bend State Park and Cochran Mill Park. Crezent also provides the Newnan Junior Service League, Meals on Wheels of Coweta, and The Community Welcome House with in-kind support. As an enhanced investor, Crezent supports the Newnan-Coweta Chamber and the chamber’s initiative, “Think Chamber Members First” by partnering exclusively with fellow chamber of commerce members. Crezent has taken this initiative one step further by exclusively employing Coweta County citizens, and interning Coweta students through the Coweta County Schools Central Education Center internship program.
