Clayton County Chamber of Commerce Names New CEO

On behalf of the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Board Chair Charlene Craig announces that Jeremy Stratton has been named the new CEO of the Chamber. Stratton began his position on Monday, April 18, 2016. “We are very pleased to have Jeremy as our new CEO, and look forward to him working with all of our Business and County partners to continue the enhancement of our Chamber and Clayton County.”
Jeremy Stratton has 19 years of chamber and economic development experience in Arkansas, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The past two years, he served a dual role as the President and CEO of the El Dorado-Union County, Arkansas Chamber of Commerce and brought the County’s economic development efforts within the Chamber. He introduced several successful events and revised the membership program to raise the overall positive profile of the Chamber in the community. Stratton also extensively marketed and recruited international and domestic companies to locate in El Dorado and Union County, Arkansas.
“I am very excited to be in Clayton County, Georgia. There is definitely a lot of opportunity for the Chamber of Commerce here. I am going to spend the next 3-6 months reaching out to community leaders, Chamber members, and business leaders in the region. The feedback from these discussions will help tremendously with the direction we take to move the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce forward,” stated Stratton.
Stratton has a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He has been a Certified Economic Developer since 2009.
