The narrow and steep railroad crossings on Walt Sanders Road near Madras have long been problematic.
Large delivery trucks – mistaking the dead-end residential road for Walt Sanders Memorial Drive, where they are supposed to be going – regularly get stuck on the tracks. Sometimes, those trucks end up struck by trains.
