Area Government Leaders Speak at Chamber State of Community Luncheon

The city of Newnan hopes to one day tackle the traffic on Bullsboro Drive with the help of a “smart traffic operations center.”
“We want to have real time, live control of the traffic signals. You would have a staff person in an operations center who is monitoring the traffic flow, the congestion, and making adjustments on the fly to the signals for better efficiency,” Newnan City Manager Cleatus Phillips said Wednesday.
