AAA Georgia has unveiled the 16 restaurants that have earned the coveted Four or Five Diamond rating in the past 12 months. The Georgian Room, located in Sea Island is one of only 64 restaurants in the U.S, Canada, Mexico and Caribbean to earn the exclusive Five Diamond rating.

AAA Five Diamond List / AAA Four Diamond List

“Attaining the Four or Five Diamond Rating is an impressive accomplishment and a point of great pride for these top restaurants,” said Garrett Townsend, GA Public Affairs Director, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “These exclusive establishments stand apart by redefining personalized service, using creativity to enhance guest comfort and provide memorable experiences.”

Candidates for the rating undergo multiple unannounced evaluations and a final decision by a panel of experts. Using guidelines weighted by member priorities, inspectors meticulously evaluate food quality, guest services and physical attributes to assess the level of competence, refinement and hospitality and assign a rating of One to Five Diamonds.

• Five Diamond restaurants represent just 0.2 percent of the more than 30,000 AAA/CAA Approved and Diamond Rated restaurants.
• Atlanta ranks 6^th among cities with the greatest number of Four Diamond restaurants (12)
• A total of 683 restaurants throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean received the Four Diamond Rating in the past 12 months, qualifying them for the 2016 Four Diamond Award list.
• The Georgian Room (in The Cloister) is one of only 3 restaurants added to the coveted Five Diamond list in 2016
• Epic Restaurant is the first AAA Four Diamond restaurant recipient in Columbus, Ga.

Rating Process
AAA rates hotels and restaurants using a scale of one to five diamonds, with five being the best. Hotels are judged by secret AAA Inspectors, who make unannounced visits, documenting guest services and physical attributes of the property. A panel of experts then assigns the final rating.
