Georgia travelers have a variety of ways to search for a hotel, but the most reliable and respected rating in the industry comes from AAA.

“The difference between AAA and other hotel rating systems is that AAA is the only organization that sends full-time, professionally trained evaluators, to inspect properties on an annual basis,” said Garrett Townsend, spokesman, AAA - The Auto Club Group. “Our inspector visits are unannounced so they will receive the true guest experience.”

Every year AAA reviews more than 28,000 hotels including resorts, historic inns, B&Bs and more. Only 0.4 percent make the AAA Five Diamond list. Today, the Auto Club Group announced the recipients of this year’s AAA Five Diamond Awards.  Georgia is ranked sixth among states with the greatest number of Five Diamond hotels with six.
