The Technology Association of Georgia and TAG Business Intelligence and Analytics Society announced the winners of the 2015 Innovation Awards on Thursday, December 3rd, 2015 at the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North in Atlanta.
 
The annual award program was attended by over 200 industry leaders and celebrated the results of large and small/mid-size enterprises that have leveraged BI and Analytics in innovative ways in order to effect positive changes in their organizations.
 
The winners are:
 
Small/Mid-Size Enterprise
· SportSource Analytics  for the innovative application of big data to help hire the best coaches for a tea, and pick the season’s college football playoff teams through its Sports-focused Analytics Engine.
 
Large Enterprise
· Cox Enterprises, Inc. for its Workforce Visualization IT solution that integrated multiple Human Resources IT systems into one comprehensive organization chart of over 70,000+ employees in all five nationwide divisions.
 
In addition to the awards presentation and dinner, the program featured a keynote speech from Mike Thompson, VP of Business Intelligence/ Data Architecture of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
 
Mr. Thompson is responsible for defining the data governance, information services and architecture around data use and analytics for the CHOA. The program encompasses all of Children’s efforts to address the challenges of rising costs while improving medical outcomes and quality of care through an integrated clinical and financial modeling framework.
