Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Thursday, December 3rd, 2015

RE/MAX of Georgia has established a Young Professionals Network with a goal of providing young agents between the ages of 20 and 40 a casual forum to network, socialize and share ideas.

On Friday afternoon, the new program launched with a kick-off event at Three Taverns Craft Brewery in Decatur. The event featured seasonal tastings, a facility tour and an “Ask the CEO” session from 3 to 5 p.m.

“With this initiative, we are hoping to provide vibrant, connected professionals and opportunity to network in fun social environments,” said Regional

Manager Dawn Brown. “We want to shatter the stereotypical archetypes so often associated with this career.”

Questions for the CEO varied from usage of emerging technology advances and implementation of state of the art online marketing to how to make available data actionable.

When discussing why they chose real estate as their career, one YPN attendee commented, “I have been surprised in this career how much flexibility and independence you have.” Another young real estate agent remarked that he enjoys the entrepreneurial side: running his own business and seeing direct results with unlimited income potential.

The goal for this group is to enhance the vitality of the RE/MAX brand locally by creating a strong culture of young professionals who embrace the values of excellence, integrity and growth.

“With the intent to both retain and recruit young real estate professionals, we hope to incorporate some adventure and charity into future events as our YPN grows in the coming years.”
