Where Does Georgia Rank in the Tax Foundation’s 2016 State Business Tax Climate Index?

Georgia’s business tax climate got just a bit worse in the past year, the latest annual survey from the nonpartisan Tax Foundation shows.
The Peach State ranks No. 39 out of the 50 states in the 2016 survey, compared with 38 in 2015. The Tax Foundation noted Georgia is among several states where the tax base is found to cause an unnecessary drag on economic activity.
