AT&T Names Bill Leahy as Georgia President

AT&T today announced that Bill Leahy has been named president of AT&T Georgia and President, AT&T Southeast. The AT&T SE Region will be headquartered in Atlanta. Leahy most recently served as Vice President and National Director – State Legislative Affairs, AT&T Services.
"We know that Bill will do a great job in this new position," said David Condit, President-State Legislative and Regulatory Affairs, AT&T Services. "Over the last 10 years, he has been a vital partner in managing our national organization, first in the Atlantic and then nationally. I expect him to lend that expertise and perspective to his leadership of the Southeast region and Georgia. Georgia and the Southeast have led the nation in adopting policies to encourage jobs and investment, and they are extraordinarily important to the future of AT&T. Bill has a wealth of experience to bring, and throughout his more than 30 year career, whatever his position, Bill has been deeply connected to his community. He will be an invaluable leader as we move ahead in the region and in Georgia."
In his leadership of AT&T Georgia, Leahy will work closely with community and business leaders, elected officials in Atlanta and across the state, as well as others at AT&T, to continue to bring advanced communications technologies, including mobile 4G LTE and other broadband services, to consumers.

Leahy began his career as a management trainee with New England Telephone. He has held various positions at AT&T companies in financial analysis, marketing, and government affairs management.
He has served as a trustee of Merrimack College and on the board of directors of several charitable, educational and public policy organizations.
In Georgia, he succeeds Beth Shiroishi who was named to the corporate position of Vice President-Global Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy and Insights earlier this month.
