The Georgia Department of Labor announced today that Georgia’s unemployment rate dropped 0.2 percentage points in January to reach 5.1 percent and has decreased 7.4 percentage points since the start of the pandemic. Georgia’s January unemployment rate was 1.2 percent lower than the national unemployment rate.
