WGTC Advisers Honored at State Conference

West Georgia Technical College swept the Advisor of the Year awards at the Georgia Student Government Association and National Technical Honor Society Winter Conference February 10-12 at Callaway Gardens. Two WGTC students and the WGTC NTHS chapter also were awarded.

Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony a Huge Success

On Feb. 25th, the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame honored eight highly accomplished athletes during their annual induction ceremony held at the historic Macon City Auditorium. The group included football player Keith Brooking, golfer Laura Coble, tennis coach Manuel Diaz, football and track athlete Willie Gault, basketball player Matt Harpring, football player Garrison Hearst, athletic leader/golf coach Liz Murphey and football player Jeff Saturday.

Coweta County Schools Choose 2017 Teachers of the Year

Teachers of the Year for each of Coweta County’s 31 public schools have been chosen by their fellow teachers. Teachers of the Year are selected by certified teachers at each school in recognition of exemplary teaching, and serve as ambassadors of their profession. This year’s honorees represent grade levels from Kindergarten through 12th grade, and a range of educational disciplines including elementary grade instruction, math, physical education, sciences, band, special education, language arts and media specialists.

Latest Survey Results for The Georgia Climate Index Suggest Major Shift in Outlook for Future Business Conditions

The results of the fourth quarter Georgia CEO survey suggests that Georgia business leaders feel more optimistic about the current business conditions in Georgia compared to the previous surveys. The purpose of the surveys is to better understand how general business conditions are impacting Georgia CEO subscribers on a quarterly basis. Newnan-based Bonnell Aluminum to Acquire Futura Industries

Georgia Power Employees Volunteer at Christian City on MLK Day
