At the monthly State Transportation Board meeting held in June, the last month of FY 2026, 20 projects were awarded for statewide projects valued at approximately $74.3 million. Contracts were awarded to the lowest qualified bidders on June 26, 2026. 

The largest single investment construction project, valued at approximately $7.2 million, will construct a bridge and approaches on State Route (SR) 136 over Lookout Creek in Dade County. The anticipated completion date is April 30, 2029. This contract and 11 other construction projects total approximately $36.1 million and represent 49 percent of the total funds awarded.

The largest resurfacing contract, valued at approximately $14.1 million, features 5.21 miles of milling, inlay, and plant mix resurfacing on I-520/State Route (SR) 415 beginning at the I-20 overhead bridge and extending west of US 1/SR 4 in Richmond County. The anticipated completion date is May 31, 2027. This contract and five other resurfacing projects total approximately $35.8 million and represent 48 percent of the total funds awarded.

The only bridge rehabilitation contract, valued at approximately $2 million, proposes bridge rehabilitation at various locations in Clayton County. The anticipated completion date is October 31, 2028. This contract represents 2 percent of the total funds awarded.

The only safety contract, valued at $336,000, proposes signing and pavement marking upgrades at various railroad crossings in Bleckley, Dodge, and Laurens counties. The anticipated completion date is May 31, 2027. This contract represents the remaining 1 percent of the total funds awarded.
 
The Award Announcement list for June (includes withdrawn and deferred projects). Bids for Design-Bid-Build projects were received on June 12, and contracts were awarded to the lowest qualified bidders on June 26, 2026. Note: In reference to the Dade County construction project listed above and located in the award announcement, a correction was issued. 

Three Supplemental Award Announcements occured, two from April, one awarded July 7 and the other awarded on July 15 and one from May awarded on July 7. The supplemental agreements include previously deferred projects that have now been awarded. Contracts were awarded to the lowest qualified bidders.
