Mana Nutrition Announces ManaFest: A Celebration of Spirit, Service, and Storytelling in Fitzgerald
Friday, October 31st, 2025
Mana Nutrition, a leading nonprofit committed to ending childhood malnutrition, will host ManaFest on Thursday, November 6, 2025, in historic downtown Fitzgerald, Georgia. Free and open to all, the community festival will celebrate the people and partnerships behind Mana’s mission while highlighting Fitzgerald’s emergence as a hub for compassion-driven innovation.
Rooted in the pillars of spirit, service, and storytelling, ManaFest invites locals and visitors alike to share in a day of gratitude and community connection. The event will feature a headline performance by Grammy-nominated duo The Secret Sisters, the premiere of a short documentary on Mana’s global mission, and the recognition of local leaders through community service awards.
“This year, more than ever, it feels important to pause and honor the community that makes this work possible, ” said Tyler Jones, one of the festival organizers.
“In a moment when so much of the world feels divided, we want to remind people that love and service can bring us together to nourish what’s good in our shared life.”
Festival Highlights
● Community Prayer Walk from the City Hall plaza to the community garden.
● Wellness programming, yoga classes, volunteer service, and art workshops for Mana employees.
● South Georgia Innovation Forum, hosted in partnership with the Fitzgerald-Ben Hill Chamber of Commerce, spotlighting rural innovation and social enterprise. Featured speakers include Rep. Leesa Hagan (State House District 156), Melissa Dark (Georgia FLEX), David Todd Harmon (Mana Nutrition Co-Founder); moderated by DeAnnia Clements (President, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College)
● Evening Block Party on Main Street with food trucks, nonprofit tabling, a film premiere, and live music by The Secret Sisters.
By honoring Fitzgerald’s role in the global fight against child malnutrition, ManaFest aims to strengthen civic pride while showing how a small town in South Georgia, founded as a site of reconciliation after the Civil War, has become a modern model for bipartisan, compassion-led innovation.
From its Fitzgerald facility, Mana Nutrition produces millions of life-saving Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food packets each year that help feed children around the world, create meaningful local jobs, and support Georgia’s peanut farmers in a supply chain of care.Event Information
