Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) Atlanta, part of City of Hope, was recognized as a “high performing hospital” for prostate cancer surgery and lung cancer surgery by U.S. News & World Report.

Released July 26, the widely regarded “Best Hospitals” rankings evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals and benchmarked each based on clinical outcomes, volume, nursing staffing, expert opinion and patient experience. CTCA Chicago also ranked as a “high performing hospital” for lung cancer surgery, prostate cancer surgery and ovarian cancer surgery.

“This honor is testament to the expertise, innovation and dedication of our entire team,” said Jonathan Watkins, president and CEO of CTCA Atlanta. “Our work in the fight against cancer is unrelenting and this recognition further ignites that pursuit.”

Earlier this year, CTCA joined NCI-designated City of Hope, one of the largest cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States, to advance a mission to transform the future of cancer research and treatment by expanding access to world-class research and cancer care to patients nationally. City of Hope was recognized as the seventh “Best Hospital” for cancer in the nation according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2022-23 Best Hospitals: Specialty Ranking, marking the 16th consecutive year it has been distinguished as one of the nation’s elite cancer hospitals.
