Wine Festival Coming to Downtown Newnan

Staff Report From Newnan CEO

Tuesday, May 30th, 2017

The Summer Wined-Up is our downtown wine-tasting event, and takes place each year during the month of June. Individual tastings occur at a different downtown business, where guests should expect to perform a “wine walk” that moves through over 25 host locations. The merchants who host this event will feature different hor d'oeuvres and a variety of whites, reds, and specialty blend wines for guests to sample. All downtown business hosts are happy to extend their business hours and hospitality to all downtown guests; drinkers, and non-drinkers, including retail specials and promotions. Main Street Newnan releases a limited number of 500 Summer Wined-up tickets for drinkers that are available for purchase.

Upon sign-in, each participant will receive a commemorative wine glass and an informational brochure. Event-goers must provide a valid photo ID at the registration table at the Carnegie Library for admittance. Each participant will also have their wrist stamped to indicate that they are of legal drinking age.

Free parking is available along downtown streets, and in the City of Newnan’s public parking lots, located at: 13 Lagrange Street, 25 Lagrange Street, 22 Spring Street, 6 First Avenue, 50 East Broad Street, 65 East Broad Street, 41 East Washington Street, and 22 East Broad Street.
