WoodmenLife chapters showed everyone just how much they care about youth and their communities by donating a combined $513,450.25 to 963 total schools nationwide. In fact, in Georgia Central Region, 17 chapters donated $9,500.00 to 17 schools. These donations provided lunches for students that were doing virtual learning, hotspots for virtual learning, paying off lunch debt, student supplies, mask and water bottles. All to help the students have a good school year during this unprecedented time.

These gifts are part of the WoodmenLife Back to School giving campaign, a broader initiative that challenged all active WoodmenLife chapters to select a Title I school to support in August.

“This generosity comes at a critical time, when schools are welcoming children back amid circumstances the world has never experienced before,” said Regional Director Garret Emerson. “We’re privileged to be able to step up as an organization and give locally.”

WoodmenLife members are tied together by their shared commitment to supporting family, community and country, as well as fighting hunger. Though community outreach activities are limited amid the COVID-19 pandemic to safeguard the health of all involved, this giving campaign is one way to help.
