Teachers and students at Spring Hill Elementary got a big surprise Thursday morning when they filed into the school’s cafeteria for an assembly.

This was no ordinary assembly, but a surprise presentation of a $10,000 donation by Burlington Stores and AdoptAClassroom.org in celebration of the grand opening of Burlington’s newest store at the Fayetteville Pavilion on October 4.

Principal Jamie Munoz was presented with the check by representatives from Burlington, and stated that the funds will be used to construct an outdoor classroom.

“We are so appreciative of Burlington and AdoptAClassroom.org for adopting our school. Our students and teachers look forward to having a functional outdoor classroom where they can absorb lessons in a meaningful and fun way while enjoying nature. We are thankful for the support we received from Burlington and AdoptASchool.org,” says Munoz.

Burlington, in partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, donates to a local school in each grand opening market to celebrate a new store location. The Burlington store will open at 132 Pavilion Parkway, Fayetteville, Georgia 30214.
