True Natural Gas and Coweta-Fayette EMC joined forces to participate in a special community project which provided students and staff at Inman Elementary a unique, creative space and additional shaded areas on the playground.

Inman’s principal Dr. Louis Robinson, pre-k teacher Debbie Fannin, and kindergarten teacher Kelly Dominick had a vision to create a makerspace; a place where students can gather to create, invent, collaborate, explore and discover various aspects of the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) initiative.

To make this vision into a reality, True Natural Gas and Coweta-Fayette EMC hosted a drive where employees donated hundreds of supplies to help stock the makerspace. These supplies included: markers, crayons, arts and craft materials, etc.

Rugs were also donated to complete their common area as well as several umbrellas with custom made planter bases used to provide additional shading for the playground.

“Everyone at Inman Elementary is grateful for all of the amazing donations, and thrilled to have such outstanding community partners,” says Dominick.
