The Georgia Department of Economic Development announced that Variotech, a world leader in tray solutions, will create 20 new jobs at a new North American headquarters in Fulton County.

“We are excited to welcome an innovative company like Variotech to Georgia,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson. “Georgia has been cultivating relationships in Germany for more than 45 years, and we are thrilled that Variotech chose Atlanta to call home as they expand in the U.S. market.”

Variotech will serve the automotive industry and electronic customer base from their new North American headquarters in Atlanta.

“In selecting Georgia for our North America headquarters, we are able to serve our existing customer base better and faster, and we are able to convince potential new customers with our products,” said Benedikt Fleig, President and CEO of Variotech. “We were impressed with how Georgia perfectly fits our needs to accelerate our growth.”

“Variotech’s choice of Atlanta for its North American headquarters represents another big win for our expanding automotive sector,” said Dr. Eloisa Klementich, President and CEO of Invest Atlanta. “With more than 2,600 foreign-owned businesses in the area and global connectivity through Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, it is no surprise to see another European company bring their North American headquarters to the city.”
