Film Shoot to Affect Traffic in Downtown Newnan Next Week

The Georgia DOT is advising motorists in Coweta County that film crews will be shooting scenes for a movie in Downtown Newnan on Monday, Feb. 4 and Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019. On Monday, Feb. 4, Georgia 14/Jefferson Street and Georgia 16/Jackson Street from Madison Street to East Broad Street will have intermittent closures from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. On Tuesday, Feb. 5, only Georgia 14/Jefferson Street from Madison Street to East Broad Street will have intermittent closures from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

An intermittent lane closure occurs when a roadway is restricted to traffic, but for only 3-5 minutes at a time. Crew members and law enforcement officers will be on site to enact the brief closures, and motorists are urged to pay close attention to any signals and the overall traffic situation during such activity.

When: Monday, Feb. 4, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
