Newnan-Coweta Chamber Board Member Slate Recommended

The Newnan-Coweta Chamber's Nominating Committee and the Board of Directors have unanimously and enthusiastically approved the following 2019 slate of individuals to serve on the Chamber Board. Board members with terms not up for renewal will continue to serve.
 
The slate is as follows:

John Daviston, McKoon Funeral Home (2nd term)

Bob Heaberlin, UWGA (2nd term)

David Kent, CTCA (2nd term)

Andy Miller, PrintSource (2nd term)

Jem Morris, Georgia Power Company (filling unexpired term of Ilona Wozniak through December 2018 - 1st term begins January 2019)

Mike Robertson, Piedmont Newnan Hospital (2nd term)

Phil Trickey, Yamaha (2nd term)

Note: The Board of Directors at its June meeting approved Renee Horton, American Family Insurance, to fill the unexpired term of Martin Pleyer, which expires December 2019.
 
According to the Newnan-Coweta Chamber By-Laws, members in good standing may petition the Board to propose additional candidates for consideration.  Petitions must be signed by 75 qualified members of the Chamber and presented to the Board no later than 5pm on August 3.  If no petition is filed within the designated period, the nominations shall be closed and the nominated slate of candidates shall be declared elected by the Board of Directors at its meeting on August 8, 2018.
 
If a valid petition is presented, the names of all candidates will appear on a ballot to be sent to all members in good standing at least fifteen days prior to the September Board meeting.  At its regular September meeting, the Board shall declare the candidates with the greatest number of votes elected.
