Sen. John Albers Presents Resolution Recognizing Commitment to Military Families

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Wednesday, December 20th, 2017

Sen. John Albers (R – Roswell) honored 3Ci, the Atlanta Hawks, Dominique Wilkins and other great American patriots who have teamed up to support military families with a Senate Resolution last night during the Atlanta Hawks game. More than 250 soldiers attended the game and were recognized for their service. In addition to honoring our military at last night’s game, 3Ci CEOs Don Barden and Lisa Barden, along with their staff, were also recognized for continuing their second year of a ten-year commitment to offer $500,000 in scholarships to children of United States Army Rangers.

“It was truly an honor to present this resolution to all of these groups for everything they do for Georgia’s military families,” said Sen. Albers. “Although we can never say thank you enough, we must do all we can to recognize the military’s service and sacrifices. These events and scholarships are just one small way we can support these brave men and women who selflessly serve and protect our freedom. The scholarships for the children of Army Rangers will enable them to get an education free of charge, which is the least we can do for them. I look forward to continuing to work with all of these groups and others to ensure that our military and their families continue to receive the recognition and help they deserve. We must never forget that we are home of the free because of the brave.”

Lt. Governor Casey Cagle echoes Sen. Albers’ sentiments by saying:

“Georgians know that without the selflessness of the men and women who defend our nation, life as we know it wouldn’t be possible,” said Lt. Governor Cagle. “The families of these heroes – especially their children – make tremendous sacrifices on behalf of Americans everywhere. I commend 3Ci, the Atlanta Hawks and Dominique Wilkins for their efforts to provide the children of United States Army Rangers with well-deserved scholarships to advance their education.”

The resolution recognizes each of the stakeholder’s hard work and commitment to supporting Georgia’s military heroes.
