Bridge Rehab Work This Weekend on I-85 NB/SB in Coweta and Troup

The Georgia DOT has been notified by the contractor of nightly and weekend single and double lane closures for bridge rehabilitation work along I-85 north and southbound in Troup and Coweta counties.   

All work will begin Friday night, November 17 at 9 p.m. through Saturday morning, November 18 at 6 a.m.

Work will then continue Saturday night at midnight and run continuously through Monday morning, November 20 at 6 a.m.

Work will occur in the following locations:

Troup: I-85 northbound near mile marker 25, near Flat Creek Bridge and I-85 southbound near mile marker 23, near Beech Creek.

Coweta: I-85 north and southbound near Exit 35; SR 14/US 29

Messages boards will be placed in advance of these work zones to alert motorists to travel delays and congestion. Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; read signs; and expect the unexpected.
