Representative Bonner Visits Peachtree City Elementary During Georgia Pre-K Week

Pre-kindergarten (Pre-K) classrooms throughout Fayette County Public Schools celebrated Georgia Pre-K week October 2-6, marking the 25th anniversary of the state’s Pre-K program.

Classrooms marked the occasion by participating in special activities, and for one special classroom, students had a visit from Georgia State Representative Josh Bonner.

Representative Bonner visited Tracy Reid’s classroom where he a book, “Who I’d Like to Be,” to 23 students enrolled in the school’s Pre-K program. The book is about a little boy who imagines what it would be like to be different animals and people, but ultimately decides that he really just wants to be himself.  

Bonner presented the book to Reid as a gift to her classroom. His visit concluded with a tour of the school.

Fayette has 321 Pre-K students enrolled in programs at Robert J. Burch Elementary, Cleveland Elementary, Crabapple Lane Elementary, Fayetteville Elementary, Inman Elementary, Huddleston Elementary, Kedron Elementary, North Fayette Elementary, Oak Grove Elementary, Sara Harp Minter Elementary, and Spring Hill Elementary.
