Art Exhibit Open at Christian City October 24th

Original works of art created by nine residents of Christian City are on display in the activities room at Christian City Assisted Living Center, located at 7290 Lester Road in Union City. Featuring 25 paintings in various media – acrylic, oil and watercolor – the exhibit is open to the public through October 24 on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 6pm.

“The residents of Christian City and the surrounding community have enjoyed seeing original art created by their neighbors,” said Jan Gwaltney, exhibit director and chairwoman of Christian City’s Arts Alliance. “We plan to have more art exhibits in the future,” Gwaltney said.
 
Participating resident artists in the current exhibit are: Joe Aina, Dottie Canning, Larry Dahlborg, Susan Floyd, Jan Gwaltney, Brenda Keheley, Anna Palmer, Thomasine Randolph and Karen Slimm.
