For the fifth consecutive year, Georgia Credit Union Affiliates has been named one of the state’s top Trade Associations in James Magazine’s September/October Lobbyist Issue. Landing at No. 6 on the list of top associations, GCUA moved up two positions from last year. For the fourth straight year, Senior Advocacy Officer Brandee Bickle made the list of the state’s top female lobbyists, this year claiming the fourth spot.

“Brandee Bickle’s long-standing reputation as one of the top lobbyists in the state is well-deserved, and her efforts are certainly appreciated,” said Terry Hardy, Chair of the Georgia Credit Union League Board of Directors. “Georgia credit unions have a well-respected presence at the State House, and we are fortunate to have such a dedicated team advocating for us.”

James Magazine is a political and news magazine published by Insider Advantage. The magazine has produced its list of top lobbyists and associations for the past 14 years and combines online voting by readers and feedback from political insiders to finalize the rankings.

“Credit unions are a great benefit for consumers, but the cooperative form of business organization is not well understood or appreciated,” said Mike Mercer, President/CEO of GCUA. “That’s why we devote so much attention to telling our story at the State House and in Congress. It is rewarding to know that we are making positive impressions, and I am very proud of the people that are building the relationships on a daily basis.”
