Coweta Chamber Board Announces Slate of New Board Members

The Newnan-Coweta Chamber's Nominating Committee and the Board of Directors have unanimously and enthusiastically approved the following 2017 slate of individuals to serve on the Chamber Board.
 
The slate for the 2017 -2019 term:

-Jay Boren, Coweta County Water and Sewer Authority

-Martin Pleyer, Grenzebach, Inc.

-Sharon Rogers, Newnan GNC

-Chris Stephens, Coweta-Fayette EMC

-Jim Thomasson, 75 Jackson Real Estate

-Tonya Whitlock, West Georgia Technical College

According to the Newnan-Coweta Chamber By-Laws, members in good standing may petition the Board to propose additional candidates for consideration.  Petitions must be signed by 75 qualified members of the Chamber and presented to the Board no later than 5pm on July 7.  If no petition is filed within the designated period, the nominations shall be closed and the nominated slate of candidates shall be declared elected by the Board of Directors at its meeting on August 17, 2016.
 
If a valid petition is presented, the names of all candidates will appear on a ballot to be sent to all members in good standing at least fifteen days prior to the September Board meeting.  At its regular September meeting, the Board shall declare the candidates with the greatest number of votes elected.
